From a barrel turnery to a high-tech company

A family history spanning five generations.

Anton Fehrenbach laid the foundation stone in 1926 with the establishment of a small barrel turning shop in his home town of Schönwald. With craftsmanship and entrepreneurial flair, he expanded production step by step - the beginning of a successful development that continues to this day.

In 1945, his sons Wilhelm and Franz Fehrenbach took over the company. As the volume of orders grew, the company continuously invested in new machines, larger production areas and more efficient production technologies. Technical development and the constant optimization of processes made the family business a reliable partner for customers from a wide range of industries.

In 1982, Klaus Fehrenbach, industrial master craftsman in cutting and mold making, became the third generation to join the company management. In 1992, the company was renamed Klaus Fehrenbach GmbH. With the move to a newly constructed company building in the Schönwald industrial estate in 1997, the company gained over 800 m² of modern production space. The machinery was comprehensively expanded and the range of services further extended.

In 2008, graduate engineer (BA) Markus Fehrenbach, great-grandson of the company founder, took over the management of the company. Together with his wife Nadja Fehrenbach, he is now the fourth generation to run the company - with vision, responsibility and a clear focus on quality and customer orientation.

Another milestone was reached with the introduction of CNC milling technology in 2018/2019 and the expansion of the production area to around 1,600 m². Today, Klaus Fehrenbach GmbH supplies customers worldwide with high-precision components - “Made in the Black Forest”.

The fifth generation has also been active in the company since 2022: Fabian Fehrenbach (B. A. Technical Management) supports the management in the areas of marketing and sales - and thus continues the successful family tradition with new impulses.
